Frugal Tip for Dishwasher Rinse Aid

I have hesitated to share this little frugal tip because it seems so simple and I thought everyone knew it!

A few weeks ago though, I had a friend ask me where to find a good sale on rinse aid for her dishwasher. I told her that I had no clue because I haven't bought any in years.

I have used white vinegar to replace the rinse aid and saved myself a small bundle, that stuff is expensive!

If you also have a well in your home that tends to have hard water, vinegar is a life saver. If we forget to fill our water softener with salt and need to run the dishwasher, I just drop in a cup of vinegar during the rinse cycle. It helps the dishes to clean better and prevents any fogginess and spots on your glasses.

So next time your out of rinse aid, save yourself some money!
