I can't call this a recipe - it's not - it's an assembly. If you have a pork roast and BBQ sauce, get ready to call yourself a chef though. It's that good!
I love this non-recipe because it's fast, doesn't taste like a mushy crockpot meal and it's delicious.
Start with a pork roast that will fit in your crock-pot. It can be fresh or frozen. Find your favourite BBQ sauce and dump the whole bottle in. Make sure your roast is totally covered.
If your cooking from fresh, turn on your crockpot for 4 hours, if frozen, then 6- 8 hours is needed.
Once it's finished, about a half hour before you want to eat - take it out and slice it. Then put it back in and let it cook on low a little longer in the sauce.
You can serve this with rice, roast potatoes or slice it thinly and serve it on fresh buns.
If I know I'm going to be gone all day, I start this in the crockpot. I get the rice in the rice cooker and all I need to do is cook a vegetable or make a salad when I get home.
This recipe is also great for hot summer days when you don't want to turn on your oven and excellent for hungry teenage boys to snack on!
