I stopped in quickly yesterday to see what the Target liquidation looked like. Despite a snowstorm outside, the parking lot was nearly full and the store was very busy!
Discounts ranged from 10-30%. I've seen sale prices better then this liquidation, yet people were buying carts full of items!
Anyway, here are the discounts:
I wanted to give you a visual of why you need to shop smart during liquidation sales.
The top picture is Charmin on liquidation at Target. It works out to $.33 cents for a single roll. The bottom picture is Charmin at Canadian Tire this week- it's $.18 cents a roll. My stock up price is anything under $.25 cents for a single roll.
In my Target there were still clearance items from before the liquidation. If your lucky enough to find clearance stickers, then you apply the extra liquidation price on top of the clearance price.
For example: These girls clothes were on clearance for 50% and because the liquidation is 20% off the whole girls department, these clearance items are now 70% off.
From what I saw, the only items I would buy now is clearance with extra liquidation discounts, birthday/anniversary greeting cards for the year since it's unusual to find them on sale, and Valentine's items that I still need, since that department is now 20% off.
